Quick Bit on the weekend escapades...

Although this weekend should have seemed a relaxing one considering my mom volunteered and watched my kids 2 nights in a row, it actually turned out to be quite the opposite.  Starting Friday, I dropped the kids off with my Mom and headed straight to Huntsville.  I met with my best friend there and we hopped all over town trying to come up with ideas for her wedding, then ate dinner.  I left her middle of the evening, came straight home, had enough time to get a drink and work for a wee bit on a painting, then Haven came in and we grabbed our instruments and headed to a church where a pastor friend of ours was waiting on us.  We practiced a few songs together, then Haven and I jumped in the car and made our way in a very timely manner to Muscle Shoals where Praise God we got to watch John Mark Macmillan play live! wow, just the memories and feeling that his music takes me back to are warm, if you know what I mean.  Which reminds me of Colorado, but that's a story for another day, because I'm trying to make today's post quick.   Anyways, Saturday I woke up finished working on the painting that I had started on Friday, then loaded up the instruments and went to meet Haven when he got off of work.  He walked out of work, hopped in the car and we headed straight to Scottsboro.  We lead worship at an 'Emmaus Walk', which was a completely different, but amazing experience than being on the walk.  We got home last night at about 1:00am I believe and I passed out.  Then this morning when I woke up at 9:30, I hit the ground running again trying to get ready and be at church on time.  So right now, I'm just ready to sit down and take a breather.  Wow, life sure feels busy sometimes. I'm not sure if it's anything that I have the ability to change, or if it's just sort of the way life has or is supposed to be at times.  Thats, all for now...thanks for reading.  God Bless You, Whitney Tomlin
